Bali Packages: 3 Days and 2 Nights Tour

Three days is not much time in Bali, but it is enough to see three very different sides of the island: Ubud’s temples and markets, the volcano country around Kintamani, and the beaches of Nusa Dua. This itinerary fits all of it in without turning the trip into a race.

Day 1: Arrival and Ubud

You’ll be met on arrival at Ngurah Rai International Airport and taken to your resort. After check-in and some time to freshen up, the tour heads to Ubud, Bali’s cultural hub.

Day 1 highlights:

Sacred Monkey Forest Sanctuary: An ancient temple forest inhabited by long-tailed macaques. The dense trees keep it cool and quiet; the monkeys keep it entertaining.
Puri Saren Agung (Ubud Palace): A short distance away, with classic Balinese architecture and the history of the town’s royal past.
Ubud Art Market: As the day winds down, browse the stalls for local crafts, art, and souvenirs.

In the evening, have a traditional Balinese dinner at a local restaurant before returning to the resort. Day 2 starts early.

Day 2: Kintamani and the Tegalalang rice terraces

The second day heads into the highlands. If you like landscapes or photography, this is the day you came for.

Day 2 highlights:

Mount Batur and Lake Batur: A morning drive to Kintamani, which looks out over Mount Batur, an active volcano, and Lake Batur below it. Order a Balinese coffee and take in the view, or explore the area on foot.
Tegalalang Rice Terraces: One of the most photographed landscapes anywhere, and part of a UNESCO World Heritage-listed cultural tradition. Walk the terraces and learn about the historic Subak irrigation system that sustains Bali’s rice farming.
Coffee plantation tour: A working plantation where you can try Luwak coffee, one of the most expensive and exclusive coffees in the world, prepared the traditional way.

Back at the hotel in the evening, you can enjoy the countryside scenery, go out and sample Bali’s nightlife, or book a spa treatment.

Day 3: Nusa Dua and departure

The last day is for the coast, with a visit to Nusa Dua, one of the loveliest seaside areas in Bali.

Day 3 highlights:

Nusa Dua Beach: Golden sand, luxury resorts, and calm water that’s good for swimming. Spend the morning here.
Water activities: Jet skiing, parasailing, and snorkeling over coral reefs are all on offer at Nusa Dua.
Tanjung Benoa: A quick trip up the coast, with more water sports if you want them or a quiet stretch of sand if you don’t.

After the beach, return to your resort to freshen up, then transfer to the airport for your flight home.

Tips for your visit

Pack light: It’s a short trip. Enough clothes for daytime exploring plus something for the evening will cover it.
Respect local customs: Balinese culture is Hindu. Dress neatly when visiting temples and wear a sarong where required. Days get hot, so carry a water bottle if you plan to be outdoors.
Currency and payments: Bali uses the Indonesian Rupiah (IDR). Keep some cash on hand for small purchases; credit cards are widely accepted in tourist areas.
